Citizens Police Academy

September 26 - November 21

East Central Dispatch Center will be presenting at the Clayton Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy on October 3rd at 6:00 PM.

As a method of educating members of the general public about the complexities of modern law enforcement, a Citizens Police Academy has been developed to foster a better understanding of how police officers are trained to fulfill a myriad of responsibilities.  Among others, the classes will include the topics of patrol procedures, criminal and juvenile laws, crime scene investigation, traffic enforcement and firearms familiarization.  The video below is a view of one of our past Citizens Police Academy classes.

This opportunity is open to Clayton residents and business owners, or any employee who works for a Clayton business.  Admission is by application only.  Applicants must be at least 19 years old.  A background check will be performed.
