City of Rock Hill

Welcome to the City of Rock Hill! Rock Hill was incorporated in 1929 and is a thriving, inner ring city in mid-St. Louis County. Rock Hill is bordered by Brentwood to the east, Webster Groves to the south, Glendale to the west and Ladue to the north. Only 12 miles from downtown St. Louis, Rock Hill is close enough to enjoy the amenities of an urban area while providing the quality of life found in a suburban community.
Rock Hill is a full service city providing, administrative, fire, parks, police, and public works services to its residents and businesses. The intersection of Manchester Road and McKnight Road is the heart of the city’s commercial area. Quality, affordable housing options, an award winning school district and a wide range of recreational options at the six city parks make Rock Hill a sought after location for many in the St. Louis area.
The City’ Fire Department is comprised of nine full time firefighters and a Fire Chief. Two department personnel are State of Missouri certified Fire Investigators and all personnel are Emergency Medical Technicians. Along with their firefighting and emergency medical response duties the department provides blood pressure checks, child safety seat installation, and smoke detector and carbon monoxide checks.
The City’s Police Department is comprised of 10 full time police officers and a Police Chief. In 2018 the department achieved CALEA Accreditation, becoming one of the smallest departments in the United States to earn this high distinction. The men and women of the Rock Hill Police Department strive for excellence in meeting the needs of residents and visitors alike by creating a safe and friendly community.
